Antique Irish George II Dark Oak Settee

This settee is a tour de force of profusely carved elements which make a most commanding presentation. The Irish George II Baroque style here is embellished with three fully carved vasiform backsplats with male masks, a scrolled crest rail with raised centre carving of foliage and lion and arms with fabulous rarely seen peacocks. The studded seat above a carved frieze rests on cabriole legs with claw and ball feet.
